You decide:

Which physician, specialist or hospital is right for you
When to see a specialist — no referrals needed
If you choose a network physician, it is their responsibility to submit claims
If you choose a non-network physician, it is your responsibility to submit claims
Notification is required for a number of network and non-network services, such as hospital stays
